Greater Western Sydney star Rebecca Beeson has been named in the 2019 AFL Women’s All Australian 40-player squad off the back of a shining performance against Collingwood in the fourth round of the national league.
Beeson, who lived in the AFL Hunter Central Coast catchment before moving to Western Australia in her teens, has been dominating AFLW after moving to the midfield in 2019. The Giants star played her first two seasons with the club in the forwards before making a call on the switch in her third.
The 22-year-old recorded a career-high 22 disposals against Collingwood, guiding her team to the victory with a best-on-ground performance in the fourth round.
Beeson has already recorded 16.3 disposals per game. She also has a 72 percent disposal efficiency, alongside 3.1 tackles and two marks per appearance in the AFLW in 2019.
The final AFLW All Australian squad will be announced at the W Awards in early April. The awards are set to be held in Melbourne.
