Newcastle and Country Rugby League’s partnership squad in the NSW Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership is on the hunt for back-room reinforcements for the 2019 season, CRL announced earlier this week.

CRL Newcastle, the joint venture between the local rugby league club based in the Hunter and the CRL governing body, are calling on expressions of interest for the coach, assistant coach, manager and head sports trainer roles for 2019.

The Novocastrian club finished fifth in the 2018 season with a mixed 6 win, 6 loss record across their twelve games.

The record left them floating outside a strong top four in the Rabbitohs, Mounties, Cabramatta and Cronulla, even with star players that have gone on to play in the inaugural NRL Womens Premiership like Isabelle Kelly, Holli Wheeler and Hannah Southwell.

The squad’s campaign ended in the first week of the finals, after being sunk 16-10 by Cronulla Caringbah.

If you are interested in applying for any back-room leadership roles within the CRL Newcastle club, send your application to mquinn@crlnsw.com.au.
